Her Story

About Miriam

I've been in healthcare for over 8 years, working in areas like accounts receivable, patient access, and benefits. These are roles where I developed a strong passion for helping people navigate important systems that directly impact their lives. About a year ago, I started venturing into life insurance because I wanted to challenge myself and inspire women by leading through growth and consistency. I wanted to educate millennials and Gen Zs and empower others financially. I'm big on sharing knowledge, whether it's helping someone understand their benefits in healthcare or teaching them how to protect and grow their income. Currently, I'm doing life insurance and just picked up a part-time job at Atrium Health doing patient access, which is me helping people in the community again. I'm in training now as I speak. Before this, I was a stock consultant for about a year and a half, helping people with their portfolios, teaching them how to read the stock market, doing reviews for S&P 500, and showing them how to invest in the market and build a portfolio overall. I lead a lot of women, helping them with resumes and study sessions for life insurance. My goal overall is to help customers maintain a healthy lifestyle and give them tools on how to maintain their life, like setting up wellness visits, whether in-home or telehealth, listening to their vitals, making sure medications work for them, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Miriam

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would say just being authentic, being myself, and not letting the world or people project onto me. Being a leader, being involved, and just being consistent, just showing up. Never quitting, just being steadfast. I would say just being consistent with everything that I do and not giving up on myself, and actually just focusing on my why in life.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Always follow your dreams, never quit, even when it gets hard. Be consistent as much as possible. Even when you don't see anything happening, just know that God is still behind it, still working. And just keep your faith strong. If I can say anything, just keep your faith strong all the way in life.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

For me, just being able to make a difference in someone's life, being able to help whenever they need help, and just being consistent with what I do as far as showing up for others as much as I show up for myself. Just helping one person will make my day.
