What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute much of my success to the guidance and support of three incredible mentors: Craig Montgomery, Miguel Aquino, and my current Enterprise Accounts Manager. Their mentorship has been instrumental in shaping my career, particularly as I navigated the transition from hourly roles to salaried positions. Over the past ten years, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring seven managers myself, and I credit much of my ability to lead and support others to the lessons I learned from them.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to remain consistent and dedicated in everything you do. Success doesn’t come overnight—showing up, putting in the work, and staying committed to your growth will set you apart and open doors for opportunities.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced in this field is working in a male-dominated environment. I’ve learned that maintaining composure, demonstrating discipline, and staying focused on results are essential to navigating these challenges. At the same time, these experiences present opportunities to lead by example, mentor others, and help create a more inclusive and supportive workplace.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me in both my work and personal life are integrity, service, and continuous learning. My educational background in accounting, combined with various industry certifications, has provided a strong foundation for my career. I’ve also focused on emergency response and humanitarian services, and have contributed to law enforcement committees and briefly collaborated with the Interport Police Agencies. While I’m currently not active in professional organizations due to work demands, I remain committed to making a meaningful impact through my work and the principles I uphold.
