About Missy
I've been with the Atlanta Hawks NBA team for going on 5 years now as a sales consultant. Before joining the Hawks, I was working for the Clayton County Board of Commissioners as a human resources assistant straight out of college. I knew I wanted to continue working in sports because that's what I did when I was in college, but during COVID, things kind of changed, so I had to pick up something before I was out of work. Getting into the Hawks organization wasn't an easy way in - it took a lot of research and me reaching out to several people who worked for the organization. One day I got fed up and decided I'm just gonna ask for an interview on the spot. I asked if I could call someone in a leadership position, and they hopped on a call with me. They liked that I was a fighter and I wasn't giving up, no matter if I got the first call or the second call. I finally was able to get an interview in person, and I was singled out of the group to role play. After that, I knew this was for me, I'm gonna get the job, and I was a little bit more confident then. As a sales consultant, I'm a season ticket seller - I sell anything that comes to State Farm Arena. If you're looking to host a birthday party, a company party, you're looking to entertain clients, anything that's coming to the State Farm Arena for a game or a show, that's what I sell. I sell experiences. I'm a great seller, creative, I love painting pictures for people. I love making memorable experiences for families that either haven't been to a game before, or for people where coming to the game is just like a regular popcorn and watch the game, win or lose type of experience. I like giving them that 'wow, I didn't even know that you guys did this' type of experience.
