About Missy
She is a distinguished leadership and professional development coach, former attorney, and former NCAA Division I All-American athlete with over 35 years of combined professional experience in law, leadership, athletics, and trauma-informed coaching. Currently serving as a Certified Professional Leadership & Development Coach at BetterUp and Leadership and Professional Development Coach at Activate 180, she partners with leaders and organizations to create sustained behavior and mindset changes through coaching, facilitation, and leadership strategy. She also serves as Leadership & Professional Development Strategist at Missy McCracken Coaching, helping organizations design better systems, develop stronger people leaders, and create learning experiences that drive real behavior change. Her career includes serving as Manager of Student Success Coaching at Western Governors University, where she redesigned the organization's coaching handbook, led team development, and established evidence-based coaching standards. She previously worked at the National Collegiate Athletic Association, United States Swimming, the Marion County Public Defender Agency, and in private law practice. She holds a Juris Doctorate from Indiana University McKinney School of Law, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan, and is a Certified Professional Coach with multiple certifications in integrative somatic trauma therapy and Gateless Writing. She is recognized as a transformative, empathetic, and results-driven coach who combines deep legal, athletic, and coaching expertise to empower leaders and organizations to thrive.
