About Misty
Misty Del Angel is an accomplished educational leader and instructional coach with 13 years of experience in education. She currently serves as a District Instructional Coach with Sinton ISD, where she primarily supports writing instruction and, secondarily, reading instruction for students from kindergarten through 12th grade across multiple campuses. Her career progression includes five years in school administration, with leadership experience as a principal of a 3–5 campus, a K–8 principal, and an assistant principal. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to empowering educators and strengthening instructional practices.
In addition to her work in education, Del Angel brings a diverse professional background that includes customer service and hospitality experience with grocery stores, hotels, and a radio station. She also contributes to the education technology field through quality assurance work with Curipod, an educational technology company focused on AI-supported instructional tools. In this capacity, she provides feedback on lessons and evaluates their alignment with curriculum programs, helping support the development of practical and effective resources for educators.
Del Angel holds a master’s degree from Concordia University Portland, which she completed through an online program, followed by a principal certification. Her professional interests include instructional innovation, educational technology, professional learning, artificial intelligence in education, and the development of systems that make teaching more effective and sustainable. She attributes her success to hard work, perseverance, a refusal to settle for mediocre results, and a commitment to continuous improvement—principles that guide both her professional leadership and personal approach to growth.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to hard work, perseverance, and a commitment to continuous improvement. I never settle for mediocrity; I am always looking for ways to make things better and create meaningful results. I am passionate about the work and causes I believe in, and that passion, combined with determination and a strong work ethic, continues to drive me forward.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to surround myself with smart, talented, and hardworking people, and then trust them to do their jobs. I believe strong leaders recognize the strengths of others, empower their teams, and create an environment where talented people can contribute, grow, and succeed.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering my industry to believe in themselves and their potential. If you can dream it, you can pursue it. There is no limit to what you can accomplish when you combine vision, determination, and perseverance. Never underestimate your abilities, and always remain open to learning, growing, and embracing new opportunities.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me, both professionally and personally, are hard work, perseverance, and a commitment to continuous improvement. I believe in giving my best effort, holding myself to high standards, and never settling for mediocrity. I am driven by the desire to make things better, embrace challenges, and continually grow while creating meaningful and lasting results.
