Her Interview

Ten minutes with Molly

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the influence and mentorship of remarkable female leaders, particularly Marilyn Carlson Nelson and Trudy Rautio. They encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone, embrace new opportunities, and view failure as an essential part of growth. Their authentic leadership, passion for the business, and genuine commitment to understanding people as individuals deeply shaped my own leadership philosophy. Their encouragement and example taught me the importance of building meaningful relationships, empowering others, and leading with both purpose and compassion. I am grateful that these relationships have continued throughout my career and remain an important source of inspiration.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have ever received is to fail fast, try new things, and never be afraid to take a chance. I have learned the importance of being authentic, staying true to myself, and remaining loyal to the people and organizations I work with. I also believe in treating colleagues with respect, taking the time to genuinely get to know them, and building strong, meaningful relationships. Above all, I have learned that growth comes from being willing to try, learn from every experience, and keep moving forward.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the industry is to be authentic, honest, and true to themselves while continually challenging themselves to grow beyond their comfort zones. Build a strong community around you by developing relationships with advocates, mentors, and coaches who can provide guidance, encouragement, and different perspectives throughout your career. Take advantage of every resource available to you, get involved in professional networks and industry groups, and never underestimate the value of meaningful connections. Surrounding yourself with supportive people and actively engaging in your professional community can open doors, build confidence, and create lasting opportunities for growth.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is ensuring patients have timely and equitable access to the care and resources they need. At the same time, there is a significant opportunity to use data more effectively to improve outcomes, identify gaps in care, and make informed decisions. I believe we must remain diligent about collecting, analyzing, and applying data responsibly so we can better understand patient needs and continue improving the quality and accessibility of care.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are respect, loyalty, hard work, authenticity, and transparency. I strive to be a decisive and genuine leader who communicates openly and treats others with respect. I believe in helping people recognize their potential, providing career paths that inspire and motivate them, and creating an environment where they can grow and succeed. At the same time, I believe that success should be enjoyable, so I make it a priority to have fun, celebrate accomplishments, and build meaningful relationships along the way.
