Her Story

About Molly

Molly McClure is a seasoned marketing executive and growth strategist with more than 20 years of experience leading marketing as a revenue-driving function across financial services, fintech, and enterprise technology. Most recently, she served as Head of U.S. Marketing for intelliflo, Invesco’s fintech division, where she built the U.S. marketing organization from the ground up, increased top-of-mind advisor awareness from 12th to 2nd, and drove significant marketing-sourced revenue growth. She also led U.S. marketing through intelliflo’s divestiture from Invesco to Carlyle in a transaction valued at up to $200 million.

McClure previously served as Executive Director of Marketing at OnePoint BFG Wealth Partners, where she built the firm’s first demand-generation engine and secured thought leadership placement in Barron’s. Earlier in her career at USAA, she launched the company’s first dedicated annuities marketing campaign, increasing calculator form fills by 35%, and led brand and go-to-market efforts for USAA’s first branded ETF launch. Her accomplishments have earned multiple 2025 Stevie Awards, recognition as a Top 30 Most Influential FinTech Marketer, three consecutive Top Female Business Leader of San Antonio honors, and the 2024 ThinkAdvisor Luminaries Award for Excellence in Marketing/PR.

Today, McClure serves as Fractional CMO and equity partner at DrugScreens.com, a national drug-testing supply company in Boerne, Texas, where she is applying her experience directly to a business she co-owns and is helping build for growth. She is also a mentor through the Dashney Women’s Leadership Accelerator and a published writer and frequent podcast guest. Her leadership philosophy is grounded in resilience, humility, and listening before acting, shaped in part by growing up working on her grandparents’ cherry farm in northern Michigan. She is particularly passionate about the evolving role of AI in marketing, the importance of building brands that are visible to both people and AI platforms, and creating growth strategies that deliver measurable business results.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Molly

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to resilience, curiosity, and a willingness to keep learning and adapting. Growing up working on my grandparents’ cherry farm taught me that the work still has to get done and that how you show up matters. Throughout my career, I’ve also learned the importance of listening before acting, building trust with the people around me, and focusing on measurable results. Most importantly, I’ve never been afraid to start from scratch, take on challenges, and treat marketing as a true growth engine for the business.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is to “borrow the chair, don’t assume you own it.” Leadership positions are temporary, so I believe you should use your time in them to build something that outlasts you rather than trying to prove how quickly you can make your mark. I’ve learned that real credibility comes from listening first, respecting the people and work that came before you, and creating small, visible wins that build trust. Speed can create activity, but thoughtful leadership creates lasting impact.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage young women entering marketing to know their value, speak confidently about the business impact of their work, and never be afraid to take up space at the table. Marketing is a growth function, so learn the numbers, understand how the business makes money, and connect your ideas to measurable results. Build strong relationships, stay curious, and don’t let setbacks, missed promotions, or difficult environments define your confidence. Every experience can teach you something, and resilience, credibility, and consistency will take you a long way.
