Her Interview

Ten minutes with Mona

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to perseverance and grit. I have a keep going, keep growing, keep changing, keep evolving mentality.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Keep evolving. If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Learn from others, continue to grow yourself personally and professionally, find balance. We live in a very go-go-go society, and you have to take time to decompress from that, whatever that means for you personally.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The physical impact on my body is challenging, especially as I age. In the fitness industry, there's no salary, so time off is unpaid which impacts income and makes it hard to travel.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Flexibility, adventure, movement. I'm always moving, I'm always in motion in some way.
