Bailey's passion for the industry was inspired by her grandmother, who successfully built and managed a portfolio of 13 rental properties, providing an early example of entrepreneurial leadership and real estate investment. Throughout her career, Bailey has earned a reputation for resolving complex operational challenges and improving community performance. In 2017, she was honored with the Mayor's Award for leading the successful turnaround of a property that was facing condemnation, demonstrating her ability to revitalize distressed assets through strategic planning, operational improvements, and effective leadership. She credits much of her professional success to the guidance of her grandmother and the mentorship of a supportive regional manager who encouraged her to establish her own property management company.
Committed to continuous professional development, Bailey earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from Lakeland Community College and a certificate in Health Care Administration/Management from the College of DuPage. She also holds a Licensed Community Association Manager (LCAM) credential, earned in 2021, and remains an active member of CAM University while pursuing additional industry certifications to further expand her expertise. Guided by the principles of integrity, honesty, respect, trust, and accountability, Bailey approaches every decision from the perspective of the property owner, believing that strong leadership, ethical business practices, and exceptional service are the foundation of successful community management.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Monica
01What do you attribute your success to?
Watching my grandmother successfully operate her rental property business inspired my passion for the industry and demonstrated the value of hard work, integrity, and perseverance. Equally influential was the guidance of an exceptional regional manager who mentored me, shared invaluable industry knowledge, and gave me the confidence to establish my own property management business. Together, these experiences shaped my leadership approach and reinforced the importance of continuous learning, strong relationships, and delivering exceptional service.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received is that the customer is always right. While every situation requires professionalism and sound judgment, that principle has taught me to lead with empathy, listen carefully, and focus on understanding each customer's perspective. Prioritizing exceptional service, clear communication, and a commitment to finding solutions has been instrumental in building trust, strengthening relationships, and achieving long-term success in property management.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering the industry to invest in building a strong professional network, as relationships are one of the most valuable assets for long-term success. Take the time to establish trust, build rapport, and connect with colleagues, industry professionals, and community leaders. Equally important is finding a mentor who can provide guidance, share valuable insights, and help you navigate challenges while building your confidence and advancing your career.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in property management is maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The demands of the profession often extend well beyond the traditional workday, making it difficult to disconnect. Learning when to step away at the end of the day even when there is always more to accomplish is essential for sustaining long-term performance, preventing burnout, and continuing to provide the highest level of service to clients and communities.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide both my professional and personal life are integrity, respect, honesty, and trustworthiness. I believe lasting relationships are built on transparency, accountability, and consistently doing the right thing. In property management, I also believe it is essential to view every decision through the owner's lens, balancing operational excellence with financial responsibility while always acting in the best interests of the communities and clients I serve.
