About Monica

Monica Eid is an events professional whose career began in 2006 with the City of Fontana in the community services department, where she organized employment events, senior events, and city parades. In 2016 she pivoted toward personal events including weddings and baptisms while serving as an HOA liaison. She later worked in commercial real estate as a community manager in downtown Los Angeles, partnering with organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club, YMCA, and Los Angeles Food Bank, and helped develop events including an Earth Day gathering of nearly 800 people and a plaza ribbon cutting. Since 2022 she has served as Event Manager at Enterprise Events Group, planning corporate events for clients including Stripe, Chick-fil-A, Oracle, and Veeam. She holds a real estate license and a CME certification from the Events Industry Council. Monica is a notary and member of the Notary Association as well as the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, where she sits on the Special Events Committee and has volunteered on the Creative Business Awards. She attributes her success to becoming an independent woman after early heartbreak and advises young women to trust their intuition, double-check facts, and never accept no as a final answer.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Monica

01What do you attribute your success to?

Heartbreak early in life changed me from a girl to a woman. I made a lot of sacrifices for love and told myself I would never do that again. Every single day I work hard to be an independent woman and never rely on another person. Little girls will sit and cry. Women get up and make change.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Trust your intuition. Never doubt yourself. Always check and double check your facts and sources. Never take anything for face value. Never accept no as an answer. There's always a back door.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Challenges: Success relies on relationships you foster. You can get to high places by knowing the right people. Never burn your bridges. Opportunities: Endless opportunities to build apps, start agencies, catering businesses, consulting. People want to get back in person and off screens, so opportunities to bring people together.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Being a Christian, making decisions morally off my faith. Being a morally good person overall. Having ethics is really important. Being a true, honest person.
