About Monica
She is a seasoned youth development and nonprofit leader with over a decade of experience in program management, operations, grant administration, and quality assurance. Currently serving as BOOST Senior Program Specialist at Voices for Georgia's Children, she advances statewide afterschool and youth development quality through technical assistance, grant implementation support, and cross-sector collaboration. She is also an Independent Consultant, providing expertise in nonprofit management, program and curriculum development, strategic planning, fundraising, grant writing, and staff development. Prior to these roles, she served as Director of Programs and Operations at Youth Empowerment through Learning, Leading, and Serving, Inc. (YELLS), where she managed all aspects of program operations, team development, and new program design. Her career includes significant leadership at Boys & Girls Clubs of America as Executive Coordinator for Child Safety & Quality Assurance, where she liaised with legal and compliance teams on safety protocols, and as Senior Area Executive Director for Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Georgia, where she directed operations, strengthened financials, and led program development across Walton County. She holds an MBA in Health Care Administration from Jones International University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Eastern New Mexico University, where she was a member of the women's basketball team. She is recognized as a strategic, mission-driven leader who is deeply committed to creating safe, empowering environments where children and youth can thrive.
