About Monica
Dr. Monica McGowan serves as a life coach, minister, and permanent substitute teacher in Jacksonville, Florida. She obtained her license and began coaching in 2007, building on 22 years of pastoring a church she founded in her home around 2002. Through her ministry, she developed counseling services that evolved into broader life coaching addressing marriage issues, trauma, and depression. McGowan holds a doctorate degree and is pursuing John Maxwell leadership training while maintaining memberships in the National Biblical Board Association, Order of the Eastern Stars, Daughter of Isis, and Golden Circle. She has led community initiatives through the Eagle Mountain Eagle Community Development Center, including back-to-school drives, Christmas bicycle giveaways, and COVID relief distributions of food and supplies.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
First of all, because of my faith, is to pray about it... make sure you and your husband are on the same page... agreement is what makes things work in my marriage and in my life. When we are in agreement... we're able to support one another.
02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My faith, my family trust. I'd like to help people, connect... to connect people with people that I think will just benefit them... I'd like to see people advance in life... I'm a stickler for education.
