Monica Simmons

She is a dedicated educational leader with over two decades of experience in K-12 education, currently serving as Executive Director of Human Resources and Student Support Services at Chapel Hill ISD, where she leads HR strategy and student support initiatives across the district. Prior to this role, she served as Elementary Math Coordinator at Marshall ISD and as Superintendent of Elysian Fields ISD, where she provided strategic leadership and oversight for the district. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Superintendency and Educational System Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler and a Principal Certificate in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University. She is recognized as a visionary, student-centered, and equity-driven leader who is deeply committed to fostering academic excellence, supporting educators, and creating inclusive, high-achieving school environments where every student can thrive.
