Monica Tinyo

Monica Tinyo is a strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship professional with 10 to 15 years of experience. Her journey began with an interest in community building through art and culture, leading her into tech, design, product, and venture roles, followed by corporate innovation and a strong footing in government innovation. She currently works independently across several industries, focusing on the future of work and education, healthcare, and climate. In her typical day, she engages in discovery phases involving calls, reading, journaling, and workshopping ideas with colleagues to identify market fits and maximize impact, often in five-year cycles. Monica is particularly proud of leading the Feature Finder Challenge, which reimagined career navigation for adult learners with an emphasis on equity in workforce development and accessible civic tech. Her education includes an interdisciplinary liberal arts undergraduate degree from a liberal arts school, supplemented by continuing education classes at Pace, Pratt, and SVA, culminating in full-time graduate studies in industrial design at Parsons School of Design.
