About Monica

Monica Warke serves as a Supply Chain Logistics Supervisor, supervising employees responsible for healthcare supply chain operations including hospital supplies, receiving packages for distribution, and linen throughout the facility. With nearly nine years in the field, she began as a transport lead for five years, followed by three years as a supply chain logistics lead, before stepping into her supervisory position in April. She focuses on ensuring the hospital has everything needed for hospital staff while prioritizing proper, timely, and organized task completion. Monica leads by example and has dedicated her time in teaching team members overall growth and opportunity in the supply chain field.

01What do you attribute your success to?

While hard work is the baseline, my success is heavily tied to the mentors and collaborative teams I’ve worked with who pushed me towards my goals.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Don’t be afraid to take risks. Let your voice be heard. You matter. Set goals.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Take the chance. It's a wonderful field to be in. There's so much growth, so much opportunity. You meet so many different people. Don't be afraid of a challenge. Put yourself out there. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Take risks. It's worth it. Your voice matters so much.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is you always want to be the best at everything, and there are good days and bad days. Don’t be afraid to challenge yourself.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Respect others. Treat others how you want to be treated. Teach others. Volunteer in programs. Take classes to learn as much as possible.
