About Monica
I am a publicist, crisis strategist, and mental health professional with over two decades of experience at the intersection of communications, reputation management, and behavioral health, currently serving as a Qualified Mental Health Professional at Perry Counseling Healing and Recovery PLLC, where I conduct therapeutic group sessions aimed at supporting the mental and emotional health of young girls, designing and leading structured group experiences that address anxiety, self-esteem, emotional regulation, trauma-informed healing, identity development, and suicide prevention, and integrating proprietary curricula I have developed focused on beauty, self-worth, and suicide awareness and prevention.
I am also the founder of The Soul Deep Agency, a global communications, crisis advisory, and behavioral-health-informed consultancy built on the legacy of MWPR, Inc., where I partner with corporations, entertainment leaders, public figures, and organizations to protect reputation, shape narrative, and guide decision-making in high-stakes settings. Our work is informed by nearly thirty years of experience across corporate, nonprofit, faith-based, and entertainment sectors, integrating ethics, cultural intelligence, organizational systems, and human behavior. I also founded The Soul Deep Project, a youth initiative promoting self-worth, emotional wellness, and leadership through programs, creative products, and an upcoming podcast.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Monica
01What do you attribute your success to?
My upbringing, my mother and my father, and their respective strengths and weaknesses. And also my faith.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Days before her passing, my godmother told me, “Live your life.” I have not been afraid to stop, drop, and roll in a new direction. I intentionally pay attention to how life impacts me in each season and adjust accordingly.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't take it personal. Always be prepared. Please do not take what you see in social media or TV shows and think that's what it is. It is not sexy, and it's not for the faint of heart.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The basic appreciation for humanity in all its forms, and how it presents itself.
