Monique Gregory
Monique Gregory is a multifaceted beauty and wellness leader with more than 20 years of experience advancing brands, elevating operations, and shaping high-performing teams. She began her career at just 16 as a makeup artist, quickly expanding her talents across the beauty and wellness space—from artistry and client experience to multi-unit management and organizational leadership. Over the years, she has held roles including spa operations manager, regional recruiter for MAC Cosmetics, director of operations for Amazing Lash Studio, and brand specialist and trainer for top beauty brands. Today, Monique serves as an Area Manager for Heyday, where she oversees three skincare shops across the DMV region and drives operational excellence, team development, and best-in-class client care.
In her current role, Monique leads daily operations across multiple high-volume locations, ensuring consistency, performance, and a seamless client journey. She is known for fostering a “family-style” culture built on communication, recognition, and genuine support—an approach that has strengthened retention, boosted morale, and grown her teams into cohesive, high-achieving units. Her work spans staff development, strategic planning, volume-driving initiatives, and operational troubleshooting, all while maintaining the elevated service standards expected of the Heyday brand. With end-of-year metrics in sight, she is laser-focused on maximizing performance and meeting key goals despite the challenges of a fast-paced holiday season.
Beyond operations, Monique brings a deep passion for empowerment and community impact. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Temple University, where her early leadership foundations took shape. Since 2008, she has also served with the nonprofit College Is Cool, helping students across the DMV access resources, support, and encouragement on their path to higher education. Monique’s team at Heyday has earned multiple quarterly performance awards—accomplishments she celebrates as shared wins that reflect the dedication and heart of her staff. The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my mentor, Alisa Oliver, whose guidance shaped my understanding of leadership, efficiency, and what it truly means to excel in operations and hospitality.

The values most important to me—in both my work and personal life—are connection, joy, and balance, which I nurture through my love of movies, traveling, and spending meaningful time with my family and friends.
