Meet Monique LeNoir, a dynamic leader who's making waves in the world of education and communications. As the Senior Vice President of Branding, Marketing and Communications at the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), she masterfully orchestrates a vast network of communications initiatives across 5 internal divisions, 25 local offices, and 37 member institutions.
With an impressive career spanning decades, LeNoir has consistently demonstrated her expertise in transforming organizations through strategic communication and development. Her journey includes serving as the Director of Resource Development at the Black Alliance for Educational Options (BAEO), where she spearheaded fundraising efforts and crafted a groundbreaking 5-year strategic plan that set new directions for the organization.
Her remarkable five-year tenure as Director of Communications at the Washington Teachers' Union showcased her exceptional abilities in media relations and project management. Prior to this, LeNoir left an indelible mark at DC Public Schools (DCPS), where she wore multiple hats as both a Supervisory Public Affairs Specialist and Parent Resource Center (PRC) Liaison, revolutionizing communication strategies and establishing crucial funding mechanisms.
In 1994, LeNoir's entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish Madison-McKenzie Communications, a consulting firm that delivers comprehensive communication solutions, from website development to grant writing. But her impact extends far beyond the corporate world - she's also a certified health and wellness coach who actively contributes to community development through various leadership roles.
Currently, she serves as the Board chair of On Ramps to Careers, Executive Director of the African American Wellness Project, and holds a position on the EBoard of Jack and Jill of America, DC Chapter. Her commitment to community service shines through her membership in the Washington, DC chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and the Twelve Days of Christmas, DC.
LeNoir's academic credentials are equally impressive, with a B.A. in Public Relations from Howard University and an M.A. in Public Communications from American University, forming the foundation for her distinguished career in communications and public service.
