Monique A J Smith

She is a distinguished sports industry leader, educator, and publisher with over three decades of experience in athletics administration, sports management, and leadership development. Currently serving as Publisher of Significance in Athletics & Sports Magazine, she amplifies the stories and contributions of professionals in the sports industry. She also serves as Sports Events Logistics Manager for Boo Williams Summer League, overseeing logistics for one of the nation's premier youth basketball events. She is the Host of "A Chat in the Garden with Monique A.J. Smith," a platform exploring the career paths of African-American women in leadership roles in athletics and sports. She is the Founder of Seeds of Empowerment LLC, providing leadership development workshops for professionals and students, university NCAA compliance workshops, Title IX workshops, and personal finance workshops for women. She also serves as Adjunct Faculty at Hampton University, teaching courses in Athletic Administration, Sports Marketing, Race and Gender in Sports, and Sports Public Relations. She holds a Master of Science in Sports Management from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media from Hampton University.
