Monisa Thompson is a dynamic Senior Director whose 18+ year career has been defined by purpose-driven leadership and measurable impact across civic, social, and nonprofit sectors. With deep expertise in program management, executive engagement, grant strategy, and partnership development, she has built a reputation for transforming ideas into initiatives that strengthen organizations and uplift communities. In her role as Senior Director of Member Relations at the JAX Chamber—one of the region’s leading business organizations representing more than 3,000 companies across Northeast Florida—Monisa plays a pivotal role in fostering meaningful connections, supporting business growth, and advancing regional prosperity. Monisa is an advocate for women’s empowerment who finds joy in encouraging and uplifting others. As a widow, she has navigated single parenthood with resilience, faith, and grace, using her journey to inspire and mentor other mothers. She enjoys spending time with her children and her toy poodle, as well as singing, traveling, and reading—often revisiting favorite books as if reconnecting with old friends. She also has a hidden talent as a hairstylist and makeup artist, which she has used to voluntarily provide glam services for special occasions for women and young ladies. Drawing on the knowledge and skills she gained during her time as a young beauty consultant with Estée Lauder, along with years of self-teaching, she is passionate about helping others accentuate the natural beauty they already possess.
