About Monteal

Monteal Martin, CPMA, CPC, CCS, COBGC, CRCR, RHIT, AAPC Approved Instructor, is a healthcare compliance auditor, health information management strategist, educator, author, and founder of Insight Coding and Compliance Partners, LLC. She currently serves as a Corporate Compliance Auditor at Grady Memorial Hospital in Marietta, Georgia, where she applies her expertise in coding, auditing, documentation, and regulatory compliance to support healthcare organizations in maintaining accuracy, reducing risk, and improving operational performance. With seven years of experience in healthcare, Martin brings a unique perspective shaped by her previous five years in medical coding and a successful 25-year career in the beauty industry as a cosmetologist, salon owner, manager, trainer, and beauty school instructor. Her transition into healthcare allowed her to leverage her science background while continuing her commitment to education, leadership, and professional growth.

Before entering healthcare, Martin built a strong foundation in business ownership, training, and mentorship, skills that continue to influence her approach to compliance and education today. During her healthcare career, she gained valuable experience working on the payer side with Blue Cross Blue Shield, where she received exceptional service awards for three consecutive years. She later expanded her expertise across health information management, revenue cycle operations, auditing, and compliance. Through her company, Insight Coding and Compliance Partners, LLC, Martin provides coding and compliance audit services to small group practices and independent providers, helping organizations strengthen documentation, improve processes, and navigate complex healthcare regulations with confidence.

Martin earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Southern New Hampshire University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Health Informatics at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, with nine credits completed. She holds numerous professional certifications, including Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Obstetrics/Gynecology Coder (COBGC), Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), and Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR). She maintains active memberships with AAPC, AHIMA, HIMSS, ACHE, HFMA, NAMAS, and HCCA. A passionate advocate for lifelong learning, Martin credits her success to her commitment to continuous education and her desire to reach her full potential. Inspired by the mentorship of Gregory Davis, President of Mississippi AHIMA, she continues to grow as a trusted subject matter expert, educator, and leader in healthcare compliance and innovation.
