About Montserrat

Montserrat Mendez, who goes by Monty, serves as a financial advisor specializing in wealth management. With four years in the industry, she helps clients with investing and risk management protocols, with a particular focus on Hispanic Latinos and women seeking to build financial literacy. Born in Mexico, Mendez's first language is Spanish, which has enabled her to connect with many clients in her community. She earned a degree in business administration from Queens University in Charlotte after navigating challenges as a Dreamer and working her way through school in the hospitality industry. Mendez holds her Series 7 credential and aspires to obtain her CFP. She sits on the board of Alpha, the Association of Logistics Professionals of America, in the Latino space, and conducts workshops for women to prepare them for wealth transfers and financial independence. As one of few women and Hispanic professionals in her male-dominated field, she emphasizes mentorship, mental toughness, and self-advocacy.
