Her Story

About Moorea

Moorea EldonEverts serves as Luxury Experience Manager at Robb Report, a luxury lifestyle magazine, where she contributes to the live media team by designing immersive events that translate the publication's content into real-world experiences. Her notable projects include crafting a bespoke Malta itinerary featuring yacht excursions with private pianists and dinners with knights, all while delivering high-level concierge service. In addition to her role at the magazine, EldonEverts founded House of Maria, a venture through which she offers social media branding services that go beyond posting to build authentic personal and professional presences, as well as group travel planning for private clients.

EldonEverts brings four years of experience in media, marketing, and branding to her work. She studied business with a minor in cinematic arts at USC, following an unconventional upbringing that included living on a sailboat in the South Pacific, attending preschool in Thailand, and spending a year studying in Rome through a USC program. These experiences fostered her love of meeting diverse people and shaped her creative approach to events and branding. She also volunteers with the Ambition nonprofit, creating videos and supporting youth education initiatives, and serves as Chief Marketing Officer for a USC tech startup where she mentors a junior colleague. EldonEverts advises aspiring professionals in her field to be detail-oriented, creative, and people-oriented, noting that events work is inherently guest-facing and requires strong hosting skills.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell her that if you are detail-oriented and creative, as well as like people, this is a great field for you. If you don't like interacting with people, this is not the right field, because anything in events is very guest-facing and client-facing, and you're a host for an event, so you need to make sure that you're presenting yourself in the right way.
