She earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration and Management from University of Phoenix and later completed a master's degree in healthcare administration, developing expertise in healthcare operations, patient-centered care, and cross-functional team leadership.

Today, Vazquez is the founder and owner of Calm Oasis Mind Spa in Clermont, Florida, one of the area's pioneering mind-focused wellness spas. Specializing in sound therapy, meditation, and holistic wellness practices, she promotes an inside-out approach to health that emphasizes strengthening the mind and emotional well-being as the foundation for overall wellness. Known for her encouraging and motivational nature, she is passionate about empowering others to believe in themselves, pursue their goals, and embrace positive change. Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I think my success comes down to tenacity. It’s about being willing to keep going, no matter how many obstacles get in the way. I believe in myself, and I’ve learned that getting knocked down is part of the journey. There have been plenty of challenges and setbacks, but giving up was never an option. Every experience taught me something, made me stronger, and pushed me to keep moving forward. That persistence and determination have been key to achieving the things I’m most proud of today.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

If I could offer one piece of advice to young women entering this industry, it would be to keep moving forward. One of the mantras I live by—and share with my clients every day—is that every experience is simply a stop along the way. Your destination is not your journey; it is where you are headed. There will be challenges, setbacks, and moments of uncertainty, but those experiences do not define your potential. Stay resilient, believe in yourself, and trust the process. Every step you take contributes to your growth, and as long as you continue moving forward with purpose and determination, you are making progress toward your goals.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest opportunities in my field is helping people recognize that true beauty and wellness begin from within. While many med spas focus primarily on outward appearance, at Calm Oasis Mind Spa we prioritize mental and emotional well-being, believing that when people feel healthy, balanced, and confident on the inside, it naturally reflects on the outside. As awareness of holistic wellness continues to grow, there is a greater opportunity to support lasting transformation by focusing on the whole person, not just their appearance.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values I instill in my children are the same values my parents instilled in me: treat others the way you want to be treated. I believe that principle goes a long way in life because what you put out into the world is often what you receive in return. Kindness, respect, and compassion have a way of coming back to you, and those are values I try to live by every day and pass on to my children.
