Her Interview

Ten minutes with Morgan

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to not stopping at no, keeping going despite bumps in the road, and always wanting to be someone people can come to for advice while raising the standard.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have received has come from the leaders and colleagues who have supported my journey in the insurance industry. Their encouragement, guidance, and belief in my potential have played a significant role in my professional growth. Through opportunities such as Selective Insurance’s leadership development program, I have been able to strengthen my leadership skills, expand my perspective, and continue growing as a professional.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to women is to lean on each other, don't look at coworkers as competition, soak up as much information and learn from others, make room for other people, and remember that helping someone else shine does not dim our own light.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the greatest opportunities in commercial insurance today is finding new ways to improve operational efficiency while continuing to deliver exceptional service to clients with increasingly complex needs. I believe the industry has significant potential to embrace innovation, strengthen collaboration, and develop more effective solutions that support both businesses and customers. By working together and adapting to change, we can continue to enhance the client experience and drive meaningful progress across the insurance sector.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are collaboration, integrity, organization, continuous improvement, teamwork, and building trusted relationships. I believe strong relationships and a commitment to working together are essential to achieving meaningful results, whether I am partnering with clients, supporting colleagues, or contributing to shared goals.

I am passionate about continuous learning, professional development, and finding ways to improve processes and operations. I also value giving back to the community and supporting nonprofit organizations by helping them protect and sustain the programs that create positive opportunities and lasting impacts for young people.
