I'm the only one who works in my business, so I fulfill appointments and do a lot of virtual, online consultations. Generally those are about an hour to an hour and a half for an initial consultation. After that, I usually take several hours to build a modality for a specific client and explain all of the specific concepts and Ayurvedic context to them. I give them exact instruction on food and food preparation, even recipes, and different exercises that are more suitable for them, because not every exercise routine is suitable for every single person. A typical day is meeting with clients virtually, writing up plans for them, doing research, and right now also working at a university, supporting the students there, grading, and mentoring. My greatest professional achievement is helping people and seeing change - actually seeing people reporting back to me with follow-up appointments, telling me that a modality had really, really worked, and just sharing in that happiness with them and seeing people transform. Watching the positive transformation in clients is what I consider my greatest personal and professional achievement.
