About Morgan
Morgan Lajoie is a human resources professional with 7.5 to 8 years of experience. She currently serves as HR Manager at CrossWinds Casino in Park City, Kansas. Morgan joined the company five years ago and has progressed through roles in human resources while supporting workforce initiatives during a major expansion that includes a new hotel and casino opening in January 2028. Prior to her current role, she built foundational experience in the field over the preceding years. She earned her bachelor's degree and completed a master's degree from Wichita State University in December 2020. Morgan also holds a Tribal Human Resources Management certification, which serves as the equivalent of a SHRM credential for tribal employers. She attributes her success to the opportunities provided by her company to expand her career and knowledge, as well as the growth she has witnessed among team members alongside the casino itself. Morgan advises others to ask questions without fear and to not be a chicken when facing new challenges.

01What do you attribute your success to?
The company has given me so many opportunities to expand my career, knowledge, and grow. Watching our team members grow along with the casino.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't be a chicken. It has gotten me so far. My professor and VP said don't be a chicken, come on, let's do it, knock it out.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't be afraid to ask the questions. Because if you don't ask the questions, you're not gonna know the answer. The worst people are gonna tell you is no.
