Her Interview
Ten minutes with Morgan
01What do you attribute your success to?
My husband for his constant support, leadership and management advice. My mentor Amber's guidance, mentorship, and being a constant role model.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Always speak up. My mentor always asked me my opinion and asked me questions in high level meetings with VPs and the CEO when I was an intern, which built my confidence to have a seat at the table.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Own it in this male-dominated field. Dive into everything, network extensively, learn as much and as fast as you can. Do things out of your comfort zone, try as many different things as possible, and see if you like it. Your career will lead you where you want to be.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Launching a new brand is challenging because not only do you have to educate people on the brand and products, but you also have to educate them on why they should use electrical components in their space and how to do so. It is both a sales and educational role.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important values to me in my work life are having a good work ethic and making people feel heard and incldued. Similar to my work values, in my personal life I also feel passionately about making people feel heard, welcome and included. In all aspects of my life I make it a point to have fun and enjoy the work I do.
