About Morgan

Morgan Rose is a client success and business development professional focusing in the employee benefits and insurance space. Based in the Denver metro area, she brings a strong sales and hospitality background to her role. After earning an apparel and merchandising degree with a business minor, she worked as a sales manager for Neiman Marcus for five or six years, followed by a couple of years selling office space in a luxury co-working environment. She joined her current firm a couple of years ago, initially handling marketing and internal communications before becoming licensed to sell insurance and shifting into her current focus. Morgan is a member of BNI groups and her firm supports Brent's Place. She attributes her success to putting herself in uncomfortable situations to grow and values strong communication in her work life along with loyalty in her personal life. As a young woman in the industry, she advises others to speak up not only for themselves but for other women as well. She sees exciting opportunities in bringing fresh perspectives and technology solutions to a traditionally established field while noting the competitive challenges of rapid change.

Ten minutes with Morgan

01What do you attribute your success to?

Putting myself in uncomfortable situations that allow me to grow. This attribute speaks to my personal and professional life.

-And-

Never give up. Successful people are the ones who don't give up and do whatever it takes.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

As a young woman, just don't be afraid to not only speak up for yourself, but other women too. I think I experienced that pretty quick out of college. I had a scenario where a boss wasn't being very nice to one of my colleagues, and I stuck up for her. As women, we have to stick together!

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Biggest opportunity is innovation. The same people, same advisors have been in the insurance field for a really long time. There's a new wave of advisors coming into this world, and it's really exciting to have a fresh take and bring technology and strategic solutions to companies.

Biggest challenge in this field is because it's changing so rapidly, you really have to stay on top of things. It's a very competitive space, so you gain clients as quick as you lose them, so it's just a cat and mouse game.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Values in work life is communication, I harp on it all the time. I think it's really easy to communicate in today's world, so just being a really strong communicator, I think is important, and one of my strong suits. And then in my personal life, I'm a very loyal individual. My network are MY people, and the people I like being surrounded by. So I think both of those values bleed into each other.
