Her Story
About Morgan
I've been in the sales side of things for over 10 plus years. I grew up in New York and moved to Florida back in 2014. I always did kind of the service industry to get my feet wet and get more acclimated to talking to people. I did hospitality for a very long time, but those late night hours take a toll on you, and you ultimately want to kind of build a foundation and a career. I remember I waited on someone one time, and they said, you don't belong in the kitchen, you belong out there talking to people, and I just dove into sales from that point, and it's kind of been chaos, quite frankly, ever since - good chaos. I think I have a gift for talking to people and just really understanding kind of where their head's at with current deals. My closing rate, I think it's about asking the right questions to kind of get a more accurate answer from those people. I'm a sales manager all across the U.S., so we handle all the packaging when it comes to the labels. It's organizing net new business, maintaining new growth within current accounts, and continuing to drive to million-dollar accounts. In the past, I had 3 awards the same year, which was MVP, Most Net New Accounts Earned, and I had President's Club, rating over $3 million in the year. I think if you're in sales, you have to be comfortable to get a lot of no's to know that there will be a yes.

Ten minutes with Morgan
01What do you attribute your success to?
I would say my family, you know, again, the way I was raised, we grew up very, very poor, very mid-sized family, and I think I always wanted and had the hunger in me to want more, to just have a better life. I think I just wanted a bigger future for myself. I didn't have a master's degree, and I always thought that would kind of put me at the short end of the stick. And then I got into sales, and the amount of growth and income you can provide for yourself and for your family, there is no limits. If you know what you're doing in sales, you can create a whole platform and make an insane amount of money. I grew up in such a small town, and I didn't see that potential there. So moving here and just kind of taking that leap of faith, it was a huge risk, but it worked.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
As corny as it sounds, it's don't quit, don't give up. And I think it's easier said than done, because ultimately you have to differentiate yourself from the rest. There's gonna be days where it's just a lot of no's, especially in the sales cycle, especially being a female. I mean, you just have to continue to grind and continue to go through and keep your head up.
