About Morgan
Morgan Villano serves as a Compliance Advisor at Flexible IT, where she has spent the past three years building and expanding the company's compliance program from its early stages. With five years of experience in the technology industry, she focuses on regulatory compliance and data protection for clients across various sectors, ensuring adherence to relevant frameworks through policy development, vendor management, and security infrastructure enhancements. In addition to her client-facing responsibilities, Morgan has taken on leadership duties including strategic meetings on business operations, the creation of an internal application to improve departmental efficiency, and mentoring a new team member as the department grows. Her path to this role began with a bachelor's degree in computer science from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City, followed by a cybersecurity bootcamp at Columbia University that earned her a certificate, and a master's degree in computer forensics from Utica University that included a certificate in cyber defense education. This educational foundation, combined with an internship in data protection and compliance at Clear, enabled her transition into the compliance field where she continues to drive innovation and support organizational growth.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Morgan
01What do you attribute your success to?
Definitely family, and determination and drive, for sure. They always push me to be my best. And my fiancee is amazing, and he just always says, like, you can do whatever you need to do, like, I support you anyway. The other piece of it is definitely the mentorship that I've had.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I don't know, because I've never, I've had more strategic meetings in terms of how to build a company and how to build a department... maybe the learning experience and the mentoring that I've gotten here from the co-founders... just keep going, like, keep your eye on the ball.
