Her Interview
Ten minutes with Muriel
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to self-awareness, paying attention to the energy in the room, and being perceptive about other people's motivations and self-limiting beliefs. I also place a great deal of value on listening to my intuition and gut feelings. Understanding my own energy and reactions has helped me navigate complex situations, make thoughtful decisions, and lead transformation with greater clarity.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell young women not to let anyone limit them. Find your cheerleaders and your tribe, believe in yourself, and surround yourself with people who believe in you as well. Women benefit from having a strong community of both women and men who will elevate and uplift them. My experience with initiatives such as Women at WU, Lean In Circles, and HeForShe reinforced for me how important that support can be in helping women build confidence and pursue leadership opportunities.
