Mykeisha Ross

I'm currently running an organization with my sister, which is a nonprofit called A Voice Heard, helping women and youth overcome mental health and abuse. We provide different programs through A Voice Heard Academy, where I work as a co-founder and self-employed through the nonprofit. I've been in the mental health social services industry for over 20 years. Before this, I had Youth is Life, which was a prevention intervention program to prevent youth from entering the system. I ran programs inside the school system for 10 to 15 years. When I moved from Georgia to Arizona, and then to Texas, I decided to revamp what I already had. My main area of expertise is helping people become the first at what they wish to be. I also run The First Cycle Breaker, a suicide prevention program that I currently own, which is focused on building community for those who have been under extreme cruelty and bringing awareness to suicide. I'm working on getting everything licensed here in Texas from Arizona. My most proud professional moment was running for mayor in Georgia in 2022. I was on the ballot and came in fourth place, but I was the youngest candidate of six and the first Black woman to run. I'm also an Amazon author and wrote a book called 'Family Secrets: Generational Curses,' which helps people break the cycle of curses.
