I always tell everyone, I am a teacher turned strategist. My journey didn't start in business, it started in education, where I learned the importance of equipping people with the tools they need to succeed. Today, I do that through financial literacy, business strategy, and tax planning, and a little bit beyond that as well. I used to say I would always run away from the idea of numbers and business and taxes - let somebody else handle that side of things. However, at the time, my spouse had gotten into an entrepreneurial journey, and I realized very quickly how much was needed aside from just having the talent and the skills to produce the business. That's what made me think deeper into the business side, the compliance, the tax liabilities, all the things that people don't like to look at. I started diving into it, and then other people that we knew who had started small businesses were asking for help. I started just doing it by giving out advice or helping individuals, and for me, it was seeing them go from 'oh my gosh' to having a light bulb moment. I just love the idea of not just the results, but the impact that it was having on small business owners. It became more passionate for me, and it started to take a lane of its own naturally. I was still teaching at the time, and I came to a state where I had to make a decision. I thought teaching, I would retire doing that, I loved it. But I tell everyone I'm still teaching, I'm still educating, I'm just doing it from the aspect of business with adults and in our tax world. That was not my ultimate goal to grow up and do this - it's just the path of life put me on that journey, and really, the impact for me was a lot bigger than just the actual task or job itself. As of today, we've helped hundreds of entrepreneurs not only start their businesses, but learn how to maintain a compliant business, how to actually properly grow it. We've done trainings, we've done coachings individually, we've helped reduce tax debt tremendously for business owners, things they just simply did not know. I tell everyone, it's almost like having a yacht with no water - you can have the amazing skill, you can have the talent, but it can go nowhere if your foundation, if what's under you, doesn't bring you across. So that's why we're here to partner with businesses, especially our growing businesses and taxpayers, to help them navigate what that looks like for them.
