About Myriah

For Myriah Darling, success is measured not just by business growth, but by the impact she has on the people she serves. As Chief Revenue Officer and Managing Partner of Darling Bell Insurance Solutions, she is passionate about helping employers create benefits strategies that protect both their organizations and the families who depend on them.

Outside of work, Myriah's favorite role is being a mom. She and her husband are raising two energetic young boys whose curiosity, resilience, and joy continually remind her of what matters most. Balancing entrepreneurship and motherhood has shaped her leadership style, reinforcing the importance of adaptability, empathy, and grace.

Faith is at the center of both her personal and professional life. She volunteers at her church and believes that serving others is one of life's greatest privileges. That servant-hearted mindset influences everything she does, from building authentic relationships to leading with compassion, integrity, and purpose.

Myriah is also active in her local Chamber of Commerce and C12, where she enjoys connecting with fellow business leaders who value ethical leadership, personal growth, and community impact. Whether mentoring entrepreneurs, educating employers on employee benefits, or supporting clients through challenging circumstances, she believes leadership is about showing up consistently, listening well, and creating a positive impact.

When she isn't working or serving her community, you'll find Myriah making memories with her family, exploring new adventures with her boys, supporting local businesses, or dreaming alongside her twin sister and business partner, Michaela Bell, about the future of Darling Bell.

Her personal mission is simple: to build a business that reflects her faith, strengthens her community, and leaves a lasting legacy of service for her clients, her family, and future generations.

Ten minutes with Myriah

01What do you attribute your success to?

Without question, my faith. it has been my anchor through every season of my life and career. I believe that everything I have - my family, my business, my opportunities, and my talents - has been entrusted to me, and my responsibility is to steward those gifts well.

As a wife and mother of two young boys, success is measured by whether I am building a life that allows me to be present where I'm needed most. Owning a business has given me the flexibility to attend PT, OT, and ABA therapy appointments, advocate for my oldest, and celebrate milestones that I might have otherwise missed. That perspective has made me a more compassionate leader because I understand firsthand that every employe and every client is balancing responsibilities outside of work.

I have also learned that success is rarely achieved alone. It comes from surrounding yourself with people who challenge you, encourage you, and share your values. My husband, my twin sister (and business partner), our team, my church family, mentors, and our local business community have all played an important role in this journey.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Always lead with integrity because your reputation will arrive before you do.

In Insurance, often you are invited into some of the most vulnerable moments in people's lives. Employers trust us with their employees' well-being, and families rely on us during times of uncertainty. Technical knowledge matters, but people remember how you made them feel and whether they could trust you.

I have also learned that careers and businesses are built over decades, not quarters. Focus on serving people exceptionally well, and growth becomes the byproduct rather than the goal.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't feel like you have to choose between building a meaningful career and building a meaningful family. There may be seasons where one requires more attention than the other, but success doesn't have to be an either-or proposition.

Find mentors who will challenge you, continue learning, and don't be afraid to ask questions. Confidence grows through experience, not perfection.

Most importantly, I would tell young women to define success for themselves rather than letting the world define it for them. For me, success means running a business that honors God, serving clients with excellence, investing in my community, and still being able to show up for my children. The flexibility that entrepreneurship has given our family has been one of the greatest blessings of my career, especially as we've navigated our oldest sons medical needs.

I also believe our businesses should be a vehicle for serving others. Get involved in your community. Volunteer. Join organizations that help you grow as both a leader and a person. The relationships you build while serving often become the most meaningful part of your career.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The employee benefits industry is changing faster than ever. Rising healthcare costs, evolving regulations, and increasing expectations from employes mean employers are being asked to do more with fewer resources. I actually see that as an incredible opportunity.

Todays employers don't just need someone to sell them an insurance policy - they need a strategic partner who can help them navigate complexity, educate their workforce, and create benefits that truly support their employees and their families.

I also believe that there is an opportunity to bring more humanity back into our industry. Behind every enrollment, every claim, and every benefits decision is a real person. When we remember that, we make better decisions, build stronger relationships, and ultimately serve our clients more effectively.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Faith, family, stewardship and service are the values that guide every decision I make.

My faith reminds me that leadership is about serving others, not being served. My family keeps me grounded and reminds me why the work matters. Stewardship challenges me to be intentional with the resources, opportunities, and relationships God has entrusted to me. And service is the thread that connects everything from how I care for clients to how I invest in my church and local community.

I don't believe work, family, and community should exist in separate boxes. When they're aligned around the same values, they strengthen one another. The lessons I have learned as a mother have made me a better leader. Serving in my community has made me a better business owner. My faith has made me a more compassionate advisor.

At the end of the day, I hope people don't remember me simply for my part in building a successful business with my twin sister. I hope they remember that I loved people well, served with integrity, and left every person, organization, and community I touched a little better than I found it.
