Mysti Hodges is a senior sales executive and industry leader currently serving as Senior Vice President of Sales for the Platinum Division at Achosa Home Warranty. In this role, she oversees strategic partnerships with top-producing real estate professionals and brokerages, delivering a white-glove service experience designed to protect both homeowners and agents’ brands throughout the post-closing process. Known for her relationship-driven leadership style, Mysti is passionate about elevating customer experience standards and rebuilding trust within the home warranty industry through transparency, responsiveness, and purpose-driven solutions.
Since joining Achosa in 2018, Mysti has steadily advanced through leadership roles, including Vice President of Sales for National Accounts and Senior Sales Executive for key markets across Texas and Arkansas. Her work focuses on aligning service delivery with the real estate transaction lifecycle, ensuring clients receive consistent support long after closing. Prior to transitioning into the home warranty sector, Mysti spent more than a decade in medical device sales as a hearing specialist, where she developed a strong foundation in consultative selling, communication, and client advocacy.
Mysti holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Texas State University and has received multiple professional honors, including Affiliate of the Year from Heartland Realtors and Achosa’s Top Sales Producer award. A dynamic speaker and mentor, she is deeply committed to supporting her team’s growth while championing innovation across the industry. What do you attribute your success to?
My kiddos, my kiddos, for sure. It's not what I intended on doing or being when I grew up, and I was just put in a situation where you can only go forwards, so they've gone through it with me. A lot of give and take to make everything work, but just always believing in yourself and not being scared to stand out and do something different. Be shiny. You really only get out what you put in, so just a lot of hard work. Surrounding yourself with people who are more intelligent than you, so you're always somewhere where there's no ceiling.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I think you just have to believe in what you're doing, and have an actual purpose. You have to sell something that works. It's really important that we do a good job.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be intentional and align yourself with with people who campaign for you. Believe in yourself.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The home warranty industry has really created a nightmare for itself over the years. The faith in the home warranty industry has just been so severely damaged by bad claims experiences and lack of service, that we're having to re-educate everyone and show them that there is a new way to do this that works great. Our Net Promoter Score is really high because we focus on that. That's probably the most challenging thing. A home warranty is not necessarily required, and so if it is not bound to have value for the real estate agent or the homeowner, then it can just go by the wayside. We are trying to help rebuild our industry and get those standards up.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Absolutely, absolutely family. We have a great culture. I am a single mom, so finding balance in the chaos is always a joy. You really only get out what you put in, so just a lot of hard work. Surrounding yourself with people who are more intelligent than you, so you're always somewhere where there's no ceiling.
