Her Interview
Ten minutes with Nadia
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the foundation my parents built for me. As Haitian immigrants, they worked extremely hard with the little they had while teaching me the importance of respect, humility, patience, and treating everyone with kindness, regardless of their position in life. Their values shaped who I am today and inspired my passion for connecting with and serving others. I believe my ability to meet people where they are and lead with compassion comes from the lessons they instilled in me.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received was to never view my current position as the end of my journey, but rather as the starting point for where I am meant to go. I was told that success is built through growth, perseverance, and continuous improvement. Hearing the story of someone who started as a janitor and maintenance worker before becoming a Vice President of Operations showed me that every role is an opportunity to learn and grow. I carry that mindset with me throughout my career by always striving to improve, embrace new challenges, and become the best version of myself.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are family, connection, and creating meaningful experiences. I have always loved traveling, especially road trips, because my family instilled that appreciation in me from a young age. My mother was the one who introduced us to exploring new places through road trips, and that tradition continued with my husband and our children. Some of our favorite memories come from traveling together, whether during summer breaks, holidays, or long drives to visit family. These experiences have reinforced the importance of spending time with loved ones and building lasting memories.
