What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my personal health journey—after moving to the U.S. from Mexico City and being diagnosed with two critical illnesses, I was driven to deeply explore health and wellness, turning my struggle into a purpose-driven career dedicated to helping others live healthier lives.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received was to trust my instincts—when I chose to change careers, many questioned the practicality, but following my passion proved that when you listen to your intuition and truly love what you do, the success and growth will come naturally.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in the health and wellness coaching field is the lack of widespread recognition and understanding of our role within the healthcare system, along with limited insurance coverage—while programs like Medicare support coaching for diabetes prevention, many private insurers still don’t reimburse for these vital services, limiting access for those who could benefit most.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Empathy, empowerment, and education are the values that guide both my work and personal life—I’m passionate about helping others take charge of their health, whether through group coaching in my diabetes prevention program or by supporting individuals with compassion shaped by my own health journey.
