Ten minutes with Nadine

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a combination of hard work, networking, composure, and the ability to remain calm in intense situations. My experience as a certified law clerk gave me the opportunity to make court appearances and appear before a judge before I graduated from law school, which was invaluable preparation for my legal career. I also had the opportunity to work with two judges and learn from them directly. Above all, I am grateful for the mentors, colleagues, and supporters who have guided me and helped me grow throughout my career.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have received is to stay calm and remain focused on what I need to accomplish. I try to keep the ultimate goal in mind and work steadily toward it, even when situations become challenging or intense.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the legal profession is to have confidence in yourself and be willing to work for what you want. Believe in your abilities, stay committed to your goals, and put in the effort necessary to achieve them.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Strategy is a major part of practicing law. In my field, effective legal strategy is essential to evaluating a matter, determining the best course of action, and working toward the desired outcome.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Respect and trust are extremely important to me. I believe in trusting my case, trusting my clients, and trusting the work that I do. I also believe in doing the best I can day in and day out and remaining consistent in my efforts. When you approach your work with that level of commitment, the results will follow.
