Her Story
About Nadine
I've been in the beauty and wellness industry for over 15 years, and my journey has been all about making people feel good about themselves. I'm currently the center manager at European Wax Center in my current store for about a year and a half, though I've worked for the company for almost 4 years on and off. My specialty is growth, client retention, keeping our guests happy, developing talent, and helping businesses become successful. I started at the front desk early in my career - I was just doing front desk, phones, and managing reservations, learning to never turn people away from the business. From there, I moved my way up with Massage Envy until I had my own store as a manager. What really drew me to this field is that little things like getting your legs waxed or your bikini area waxed can be such a confidence boost - you don't have to wear makeup to feel good, but these services set a whole new vibe that makes you feel hot and confident. I'm not an in-the-office manager - I'm on the front lines with my team at the front desk, in the lobby with my GSAs, going through the same struggles with them, answering difficult questions from clients. I do this to show them that I'm not just a manager who's going to sit in the office while they come to me with questions - I'm right there with them. My most notable professional achievement is the ability to help private business owners grow their business and client retention within a very short period of time, with a very simple process of remembering people's names and what they like.

Ten minutes with Nadine
01What do you attribute your success to?
I am extremely honest, sincere, and genuine. I've always been myself. I've been through my own struggles as a young adult, which has helped me become the person who I am today, because I've always thought to myself, if I ever became successful in my career as a manager or anything above that, to always be the type of leader that I've always needed or always have wanted when I was younger. Even in school, you had some good teachers, you had bad teachers, but you always have that one teacher, or manager, or co-worker that not just led by example, but they had a presence, they had a very genuine way about them that was very attractive to people and the business and everything. That's one of my things - being the leader I always needed.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received was from both European Wax Center and Massage Envy, and it was: People will forget what you did for them, but they'll never forget how you made them feel. That advice has really stuck with me and guides how I approach my work every day.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say that there's a difference between having a growth mindset and a fixed mindset. If you're trying to grow professionally, and you're starting off in your entry-level position working front desk, in order to grow, you have to not only put yourself in uncomfortable situations, you also have to have a very open and growth mindset, so that you can learn and adapt in your job. Being willing to step outside your comfort zone and staying open to learning is essential for advancement in this industry.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
It's really getting team members to understand the why behind what we do every day. In 2026, it's been challenging for me to really onboard new team members and to help coach older, managed team members to understand the why and get them to change their mindset. For example, why do you have to stand with clients? Because it's professional. How would you feel if you walked into a nail salon, and the receptionist is on her cell phone, and she's not engaging with you, she's not offering things to you, she's not educating you on certain things? It doesn't make you feel like you want to go back, and you're spending all this money - you're spending $100 to get your nails done. Did you really get what you paid for? That's the challenge - helping team members understand the importance of these professional standards.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Always do the right thing, even if nobody's looking. Always being kind is a big one. You never know what someone else is going through. You never know what struggles they're dealing with, so always do the right thing. These values guide everything I do, both professionally and personally.
