What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to embracing every opportunity to grow and learn throughout my career. I began in the OR and OB, supporting labor and delivery before becoming an RN and working in both delivery and nursery care. Over time, I transitioned into leadership—first managing at a larger hospital, then moving into office operations and later overseeing Post-Partum units. These experiences ultimately led me to AdventHealth, where I advanced from Director over two campuses to my current role as Executive Director. Each step has strengthened my ability to lead diverse teams, manage complex operations, and drive meaningful outcomes in women’s health.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my mentor, Navy Commander Bob Ronska, a published Nuclear Submarine Commander. Working alongside him was an incredible experience—he taught me how to navigate challenges with focus, integrity, and confidence. His guidance continues to shape the way I lead and make decisions today.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell young women entering this industry to take help when it’s offered by your leaders, seek out solutions rather than dwelling on problems, and embrace change with grace. Always assume that change and feedback come from a good place—an opportunity to learn, grow, and become stronger in your role.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is at the core of everything I do—both personally and professionally. I believe in knowing your true north, understanding when to relinquish control, and recognizing when it’s time to stand firm and fight for what’s right. I find fulfillment in service, from my active involvement in church as Chairman of the HR department and worship leader to my passion for community programs like the 4th Trimester Program, which supports new mothers with resources, transportation, and medication assistance. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, baking, and traveling—each offering a way to connect, create, and give back.
