Nafeeza Rahaman, MSIE is a dynamic people operations and technology leader based in Orlando, Florida, currently serving as People Operations & Technology Manager at Hillpointe. In this role, she brings together her background in human resources and engineering to support organizational strategy, streamline processes, and enhance workforce performance. Known for her analytical mindset and collaborative approach, Nafeeza works closely with executive leadership to align people strategies with business goals, leveraging both data and technology to drive efficiency and impact.
Nafeeza’s career reflects a unique blend of human-centered and technical expertise. She began her professional journey in human resources, holding multiple roles at Lockheed Martin, including Human Resources Business Partner and Senior Ethics Analyst, where she focused on employee engagement, ethical leadership, and organizational integrity. After earning her master’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida, she expanded into more technology-focused roles, including operations analysis and project management. This evolution has allowed her to bridge the gap between people, systems, and strategy in increasingly complex environments.
With a strong foundation in psychology and engineering, Nafeeza is passionate about building high-performing teams and fostering a culture rooted in integrity, innovation, and continuous improvement. As a first-time manager, she embraces growth and learning, applying structured planning, stakeholder collaboration, and leadership training to support her team’s success. Beyond her core role, she has contributed to leadership development and ethics education through initiatives like Toastmasters and guest lecturing, reflecting her commitment to developing both people and organizations for long-term success.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my foundation in HR beginning in 2015–2016 and my intentional transition into engineering and technology starting in 2021, which together have enabled me to bring a well-rounded, people-focused and systems-driven approach to my current role as People Operations and Technology Manager.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best time to plant an oak tree is yesterday. You might have something big on your plate that you have to do, but you just have to get started.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I know this is cheesy, but literally anything is possible if you put your mind to it.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
A key challenge in my field right now is being a first-time manager and learning how to effectively foster team performance, engagement, and commitment while growing into the role. At the same time, there is a strong opportunity to combine my HR background with engineering and technology expertise to develop more integrated, people-and-systems solutions that improve how organizations operate.
