About Na'Keya
NaKeya Thomas serves as Founder and CEO of her company, where she has focused on leadership, culture, and workforce development since 2005. She partners with organizations ranging from childcare centers to larger corporations to implement her Key Method, emphasizing mental wellness for leaders, recognizing that humans are not robots, and promoting human development over rigid productivity metrics. Thomas earned her first Master's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resource Management from the University of Phoenix, followed by a Master Certification in Mental Health from Capella University; she is currently halfway through a Doctorate in Psychology at Capella University but plans to transition the focus to Holistic Medicine. In addition to her core work, she maintains credentials as a Notary Public, Title Agent, Life and Health Insurance Agent, published Author of fourteen books including the She Who Transformation Trilogy, and State-Approved Trainer in Childcare, through which she consults on opening new centers and programs. She is a member of the Georgia Preschool Association and founded the Modestreet Girls Club non-profit organization, originally in New York and now active in Georgia. Thomas attributes her success to her faith in God and the lessons from her personal challenges, including becoming a teen mother, which she has transformed into motivation and inspiration for others through her writing and training.

01What do you attribute your success to?
Of course, God. And just everything from my past, challenges and bad things, you know everything that I've been through has made me evolve into the woman I am today. So teen mother to honor. That's my inspiration that I give to others. That's my story. One of my popular books right now that's selling for 2026 is the She Who Transformation Trilogy. It took me maybe it's just overall like notes, life experience, everything, just life lessons, experiences and just real things helped me write those books.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
My high school counselor, I still keep in touch with her to this day. When I became a teen mother well when I became pregnant, as a team I had to write an essay for English. And I remember she was proofreading it. And I wrote something in there that, Mama's it was a mistake. I made a mistake getting pregnant young, right? She's sad. She said, I want you to stop saying that getting pregnant as a teenager, was a mistake. state. She said, use this as your motivation to keep going. And that's what I did.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Put God first in everything you do. about it. Let go and let God. be afraid to keep going. Don't be afraid to evolve. If you If you focus on the hurt and pain. You will never allow yourself to grow, but if you focus on the lesson. You will continue to grow, evolve, And live in your purpose.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Since I'm in more than one field I wouldn't say it's challenging, I would just say that I can't compete with Million dollar companies. However, I still can make a change and inspire somebody. That's right. And that's all that matters at the end of the day. Someone needs to be a celebrity or a big million dollar company to inspire and motivate someone, or to Help someone. So, I would say that, you know, but other than that, I I don't look at challenges as something that's gonna stop me. I keep going. It's always a solution to Yeah. You have to you have to grow through it, because whatever is happening, it's happening not to you, it's happening for you.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity. character. So, the reason why. Mine. And I put character first, because When I'm dead and gone, nobody's gonna believe nobody's gonna remember, not believe, nobody's gonna. remember. how much money Nakia made, what kind of car she drove, or. Oh, she was. Jason, how to use that? They're gonna remember how I made them feel. feel, yeah. treated them. So, I want people to remember me of how I made them feel when they came in encountered with me. Anybody that. Meet or come into my life is for a reason. And I'm always inspiring somebody, or motivating somebody. I'm rooting for somebody. Yeah. It's just in me. That's what I love to do. I get excited, like Nothing wrong with that. That is awesome. I love the things that you're doing. I love that.
