Q

What do you attribute your success to?

My strength and success come from a blend of resilience, my faith as a Christian, and the people especially from my husband and our son who have believed in me and supported me along the way. My faith grounds me, guides my values, and gives me perspective during both joyful seasons and challenging moments. It reminds me to stay humble, to lead with integrity, and to show up for others with grace, patience, and compassion.

There have been times when life felt overwhelming, but my faith has helped me remain steady, hopeful, and committed to moving forward. Like every influential woman, I have faced moments that tested me and like every strong woman, I kept going, grounded in purpose and guided by trust that growth often comes through perseverance.

I am deeply grateful to the mentors, colleagues, and friends who have encouraged me, challenged me, and reminded me of what I am capable of. Their belief in me strengthened my confidence and fueled my drive to become the leader I am today. Above all, I strive to lead with kindness, humility, and a genuine desire to serve principles rooted in both my faith and my lived experience, and ones that have made the greatest difference in my journey.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I’ve ever received was to stay true to who I am and never underestimate the value of kindness and consistency. A mentor once told me that “People may forget your title, but they’ll always remember how you treated them and how reliable you were”.

That stayed with me.

It shaped how I approach my work: show up with a positive attitude, be willing to help, and commit to doing the job well. It reminded me that success isn’t only about goals, it’s about relationships, dependability, and staying grounded even during challenges.

That wisdom became one of my guiding principles. I strive to show up with positivity, reliability, and kindness values that leave a lasting imprint far beyond any job description.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

To lead boldly without losing yourself. Your values, your presence, and the way you treat people are the true source of your influence, not your title. Kindness and consistency are not weaknesses; they are powerful leadership strengths that build trust and credibility over time. Stay curious, prepare instead of shrinking, and be someone others can count on. Find mentors, lift others as you grow, and choose collaboration over competition. Above all, own your story. Your journey, your perspective, and your differences are not obstacle they are your strength and your edge.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

From my perspective, the biggest challenge across retail, higher education, and mentorship today is managing constant change without losing the human connection. At the same time, I see a powerful opportunity to lead with empathy, consistency, and purpose. When we invest in people, prioritize mentorship, and lead with heart, we build trust, strengthen culture, and create impact that truly lasts.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

When I reflect on who I am and how I lead, I see how deeply my life experiences have shaped me. Growing up in Imphal, Manipur in Northeastern India, born and raised in a Hindu family, educated in a Roman Catholic boarding school, and later building a life with my Christian husband exposed me early on to different beliefs, cultures, and ways of seeing the world. That blend taught me empathy, adaptability, and deep respect for people’s stories. Those experiences didn’t just broaden my perspective they shaped my heart. They influence how I connect with others, how I lead with openness and humility, and how I strive to show up for people with understanding, kindness, and authenticity.

Because my life has taken me across multiple countries and industries, I’ve learned to embrace change rather than fear it. My MBA in E‑Business strengthened my ability to blend traditional business practices with evolving digital strategies. I consider myself a lifelong learner, curious, flexible, and always open to new ways of thinking. Change has never diminished me. It has refined me.

Service is at the heart of who I am. Whether supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the American Red Cross, Compassion International, Tunnel to Towers, the VFW, or Wounded Warrior Project, giving back is a way for me to honor the blessings in my own life and help those who need it most.

I love creating moments where people feel supported and connected. I believe in uplifting other people.

I believe in amplifying their wins, their brilliance, their courage, their dreams.

I don’t see other people as competition I see them as collaborators, friends & family, and co‑builders.

Community grows when we cheer for each other with our whole chest. I’ve learned that connection doesn’t require a stage or a spotlight.

Sometimes it’s as simple as a smile, a quick word of encouragement, or the courage to strike up a gentle conversation with someone who looks like they need it.

Those tiny moments become threads and over time, threads become fabric.

Last but not the least, my values are rooted in humility, respect, kindness, education, compassion, and curiosity guide everything I do. Advice from my parents and grandparents taught me that a good education is more than facts it is courage, possibility, and heart. Those lessons continue to influence the way I lead, communicate, and contribute to my community
