She is a highly experienced criminal defense attorney and legal leader, currently serving as CEO & Founder of Knight Justice, where she represents clients facing serious felony and misdemeanor charges. She previously served as a Senior Deputy City Attorney for San José and as a Deputy District Attorney for Monterey County, prosecuting complex violent crimes, murders, and gang-related felonies. She also has extensive military legal experience as a Staff Judge Advocate/Chief In-House Counsel with the California Air National Guard and continues to serve as a JAG Lieutenant Colonel. She is a California State Bar–certified Criminal Law Specialist, former law professor, published author, and holds a J.D. in Law with a Criminal Law concentration from UC Law San Francisco and a bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Relations from UCLA.
