Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to integrity, curiosity, and compassion. My family and my alma mater, Agnes Scott College, instilled in me the values of honesty, discipline, and intellectual courage. I believe that true success comes from the ability to connect people, ideas, and cultures and to see the human story behind the data. Whether optimizing healthcare processes or leading vaccine distribution during the pandemic, my achievements are grounded in a commitment to ethical decision-making and making a positive impact on the community.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is: you don’t need to check every box to apply, just bring your best self and stay ready to learn. This mindset transformed how I approached new opportunities, helping me take bold steps into consulting and healthcare technology, fields that required confidence, adaptability, and a willingness to grow on the job.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering my industry is: don’t underestimate yourself. Apply even when you think you’re not ready and always keep learning. I encourage young women to develop technical skills and seek mentors both within and outside their organizations. For those pursuing STEM paths, I recommend women’s colleges, as my experience at Agnes Scott College helped build my confidence in quantitative and analytical disciplines. My key message is that courage and curiosity open doors.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge and opportunity in my field right now is artificial intelligence (AI). AI has the potential to revolutionize healthcare by connecting patient data across systems, but it also raises ethical and employment considerations due to automation. I believe consultants play a critical role in shaping the responsible use of AI, ensuring that technology enhances access, accuracy, and affordability while preserving human empathy in care.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are integrity, honesty, and cultural understanding. I believe consulting is as much about relationships as it is about results, so I strive to treat every client and colleague with respect, listen to understand, and value the diverse perspectives that drive better outcomes. Empathy and accountability guide my professional and personal life, and I view them as essential for effective leadership and building trust.
