What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to hard work, dedication, and the example set by my mother. Growing up in a family where no one attended college, I had to navigate life on my own, which taught me resilience and a go-get-it attitude. The challenges I’ve faced have shaped who I am today, and I take pride in giving my best and persevering through every obstacle.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering this industry to pursue something they are truly passionate about and commit to it wholeheartedly. When someone doubts your abilities or tells you that you can’t succeed, use that as motivation to push yourself further and prove them—and yourself—wrong. Believe in your potential and let your determination be your greatest leverage.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I would say the biggest challenge is probably collaboration and connection. I believe that's the most difficult challenge - connecting everyone together and creating a cohesive process across our division and our business as a whole. With any corporation, it's really hard because a lot of cross-functional departments don't understand what customer experience actually is, and so I help assist with that.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My personal and work values are rooted in my faith - I stay focused on God, and my faith keeps me going every single day. I also feel like when I'm in my role, in my position with my company, I feel like if I treat the business as if I'm the owner, that's kind of my mindset - like, if this were my business, this is how I would do it. I've always been a forward thinker with trying to make things grow, outside of what normal people think about every single day.
