Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the incredible team I’m fortunate to work alongside every day. While my role as Director allows me to create the strategic vision and framework, true success in a high-volume business development center is absolutely a team effort.

I’m lucky to have an outstanding management team supporting me, and they in turn empower our frontline representatives who are the heartbeat of our department and the direct voice to our clients.

Any success I’ve achieved is truly a reflection of their dedication, hard work, and consistent execution. I couldn’t do it without them.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

II’d really say two things have helped guide me. First, never take anything personally. Second, don’t look at different skill sets as separate from each other — look at them as complementary.

For example, I come from an IT and technical background, and I’ve always loved computers and data. At the same time, I’ve always been interested in understanding human behavior and communication. Combining those two strengths has allowed me to balance analytical thinking with a better understanding of customer conversations and, more importantly, their “why.”

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

The biggest thing I would say is probably building your confidence through the knowledge and skill sets that you get. I think this industry specifically can be really fast-paced and competitive, but I think if you're able to execute and show results, those will speak really for themselves. And then also, you know, connecting with other women in this industry, because it's mainly a male-dominated field, so I think really having that strong support system and hearing others and their stories and their pathways can really help with maybe long-term success and their own growth.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I would say the biggest opportunity really is to try to improvise lead management, so that way when we have customers that reach out, they can really get direct or accurate answers about whether it's pricing, availability, or just any questions or doubts that they might have about the buying process.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

For myself, probably consistency and accountability would really be the biggest anchors, because I really think that's how you can help manage a high-volume business development center across multiple locations, and you can still kind of build that lasting trust with your team.
