Ten minutes with Nancy
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success so far to my patience, my determination, my willingness to learn, and staying consistent. When you set a goal for yourself, you have to face a lot of challenges. The growth takes time and effort, but if you're willing to learn from your experiences and make improvements, that is the tree of success.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I received is from my husband. He always told me never stop learning. There is no age limit or time limit. Always be willing to do something outside of your comfort zone. Never be afraid of making mistakes. Whenever you go for a new thing, you always make mistakes, but from them you will learn lots of new things.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women is to always believe in yourself and never be scared to pursue your goal. Don't let people stop you by saying you can't do it because it's new or you have no experience. Always treat yourself with respect and keep in mind that you can do it. Stay patient, work hard, keep moving forward even when the path is very challenging.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is the wide range of new things to learn nowadays. It is very challenging to focus on continuous study to learn more, practice in the real world, and know where I need improvement. I am very patient with myself and keep calm while learning new things. The challenge is to get into this field, learn from my mistakes, and continue more studies to get more knowledge.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are respect, responsibility, continuous learning, honesty, keeping commitments, treating everyone with respect, and communication between people to give better results.
