Her Interview
Ten minutes with Nandini
01What do you attribute your success to?
My success comes from a quest for learning and giving back to society, along with a deep sense of gratefulness. I am so grateful for my life, my family, my friends, my workplace. Everything which is bestowed on me, I do count this life as precious.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
One should know how to enjoy the journey, give your best, and embrace new challenges and create space for different perspectives to thrive. Feel uncomfortable, that's fine, but find your way and excel yourself. Don't settle for something which is the norm.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The time I spend at home with my family for my kids is something I would never regret. Balancing everything is something one can do. If somebody is taking a break and getting back to work, give respect. Mutual respect and empathy is going to take you far more than what you think. Keep learning with the grounded values of respect, empathy, and gratitude.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Challenges are people because we can never predict how somebody is going to react, such as having to tell someone their opportunity is ending. Opportunities are everywhere as the world shifts towards AI; learning new ways of working and adapting are the keys to thriving. Once you stop learning, you die mentally. You do your work without expecting anything in return, and the best will come to you.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, trust, loyalty, and especially empathy and kindness, which are so much missing in this world. If you put that hat on and think about anything, you would find a solution.
